The Informed SLP
Searches all the top speech–language pathology journals each month, looking for articles that are immediately relevant to your daily practice. The articles are read and reduced down to plain-language reviews of only the most clinically applicable pieces, available in web, print, or audio formats.

Trainings are universally applicable. From intake forms to inclusive materials, we have you covered! Transplaining wants to help you create a more equitable and safe world for transgender and gender non-conforming youth and adults through training, community, and empathy. The goal is to make more spaces where everyone feels respected.

It’s a niche area, but if you ever get a referral for chronic cough, I highly recommend Dr. Anne Vertigan’s book. I’ve found it to be hugely helpful. Dr. Vertigan has also published a lot of research in this area that is also useful for clinical practice. Check out the link below to access more from Anne on the Speech Uncensored Podcast:

SLP Private Practice In Color
SLP Private Practice in Color began as a Facebook Group to create a safe space for clinicians of color to connect, network, and mentor as practitioners who have or are seeking to establish his or her own Private Practice. The data shows that only 7.9% of ASHA Certified Speech-Language Pathologist constituents identify as a minority. Our journey has quickly expanded to include actively advocating for increased diversity and dismantling of racial inequities that allow for disparities within our field. Please embark with us upon this journey towards Equity for all. Let's Grow Together.
