clinical insights for graduate students

The Future Colleague Collaborative is a tool to connect graduate students with practicing SLPs to get “real world” insights on working in the field.

The Future Colleague Collaborative was born out of a response to SLP students expressing concern on how their clinical placements were affected due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Many students expressed concern about developing their clinical skills and getting that level of experience needed before graduation and seeking work. Practicing SLPs reached out, inquiring how they could help support our future colleagues. And so, the Future Colleague Collaborative was born: a place for SLPs around the country, across settings, to share their knowledge and expertise with the next wave of CF-SLPs.

I am so grateful to partner with Theresa Richard of the Swallow Your Pride Podcast to produce the first series.
