A myriad of ethical, clinical, and logistical challenges can make it difficult to support patients near the end of life. SLPs can play a role in caring for people near the end of life, but clear understandings of ethical principles, documentation and roles is necessary. She unpacks what to expect when working with those actively grieving and provides conversation starters and scripts that help you navigate difficult conversations.
